CHEMISTRY ENTRANCE TEST

The Chemistry entrance test is a 25 mark multiple choice paper. It is made up of three distinct sections. The first covers the topics taught as part of the GCSE course – mainly focusing on the core elements of Chemistry in C2 of the AQA specification. The second section is a Maths skills section, testing students aptitude in the basic Maths skills they will need at A Level. The final section is an application of understanding section whereby students will be given new concepts and information and be expected to use them to determine the correct answer. The pass grade is not yet set, but will be determined based on the performance of the whole cohort.

MATHS ENTRANCE TEST

The Maths entrance exam will be mostly based on GCSE Algebra, with a few questions from other related GCSE Maths topics. It will be a non-calculator test, lasting 45 minutes, and no equipment will be needed other than a pen or pencil. The pass mark isn’t yet set, but a score of 75% should be enough to be accepted onto the course.

If you would like to study A Level Physics at Greenford High School you are required to pass our entry test.addition to this students are required to
- Gain at least a grade 6-6 in combined science or 6 in separate science Physics.
- Must be taking A level Maths alongside the Physics A Level.

 The test will take place on Wed 26th June at 10.45am in the Main Hall and will last for 30 mins.

 The questions used in the test will be based on topics covered in Physics combined science GCSE. There will also be mathematics questions designed to test basic ability.

Please ensure you bring a pencil, pen and calculator on the day. These will not be provided on the day.
